The crypto party continues – doesn’t it? Some serious moves throughout November. It does look a little overheated here, but long may it last for the crypto enthusiasts out there.

Sadly a strong crypto market and weak ZAR have not been good for the premium, in fact at one point for a few minutes there was a DISCOUNT…. But fortunately, rationality prevailed and this went back to a premium. Our traders held off at the lows for a few days but got back in when the premium went above 1% gross. The fact is, it's year end and everyone gets new chips in Jan so best to get those balances out the door and finish trading any valid TCC pin you might have hanging around.

There has been a lot going on in the news too. The focus for the Rand in the coming weeks and months will be our elections next year. The global investor base tends to get very bearish around SA elections and then forgets about them after the election – so it should be an interesting space to watch going into the beginning of next year.
